Seasonal C9 or permanent Christmas lights?
Choose seasonal C9 lighting when you want a classic Christmas-bulb display installed for your celebration, then removed and stored. Choose Govee permanent lighting when you want lights to stay on your home and change colors for everyday evenings and different occasions. These are separate services with different installation and care plans.

Classic seasonal C9: a display for your celebration
Seasonal C9 lights give you a visible, classic Christmas-bulb outline. North Pole Lighting Co. supplies and leases commercial-grade C9 LEDs custom-fit to your home. Your seasonal service includes design, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage.
Choose this service if you want the holiday display handled from start to finish, with the lights taken down afterward. Rooflines can be the focus; trees, wreaths and garland are separate seasonal design choices to discuss. Christmas, Halloween, Hanukkah and Diwali designs remain part of our seasonal lighting service.
Govee permanent: year-round roofline lighting
Govee permanent outdoor lights stay installed on the home. You can choose colors and scenes from the Govee app for everyday evenings and different celebrations. The appearance is different from a row of seasonal C9 bulbs, so look at the actual installations before choosing by name alone.
Our crew assesses the mounting surfaces, access and which sections need custom track. Not every section needs a built track system. Your Govee installation consultation confirms the mounting plan for the home and chosen system; the seasonal takedown, storage and season-long maintenance package is not a permanent-lighting package.
Choose around what you want to see
Choose seasonal when…
- The classic C9 bulb shape is part of your Christmas vision.
- You want lighting for a defined celebration, not hardware left up all year.
- You want removal and storage handled after the season.
Choose permanent when…
- You want installed roofline lighting for everyday nights as well as holidays.
- You prefer changing scenes in an app rather than arranging a seasonal installation.
- You are comfortable discussing a year-round mounting and track plan.
Want both? Describe both goals in your request. Seasonal C9 and Govee remain separate scopes, with their own installation and care arrangements—not a single blended package.
What the crew needs to assess
For either service, send a full daylight front photo and an angled view of the selected rooflines and ground below them. For Govee, include a ground-level view of the soffits or eaves so the crew can discuss mounting surfaces and track needs. Mention high peaks, slopes, fences or limited access. Photos help prepare the consultation; they do not establish that every section is suitable for installation.
Ask which sections are included, how the lights will be fitted, what remains visible by day and how future service is handled. For permanent lighting, ask about installation warranty coverage and the chosen product’s manufacturer terms separately. For seasonal lighting, ask about maintenance, removal timing and storage. Existing service-page terms apply; the two care plans are not interchangeable.
Compare scopes before comparing totals
A leased seasonal display and a permanent installation are different purchases. Compare the rooflines, installation work and care arrangements each quote actually includes, rather than assuming one is always cheaper or has a fixed payback period. Our Christmas lighting cost guide explains how to prepare a clear seasonal scope.
