What we collect

When you request a quote through our website, chat with our assistant, or call or text us, we collect the information you choose to share: your name, phone number, email address, property address, the services you're interested in, and any notes or details you include.

When you chat with our website assistant, we also keep a record of the conversation so we can follow up and answer your questions well.

How we use it

We use your information for one main purpose: to respond to you and to plan, schedule, and perform the lighting work you've asked about. That includes sending you a quote, following up by phone, text, or email, and coordinating installation, maintenance, takedown, and storage visits.

We never sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone outside the companies we use to run our business (more on that below).

Text messages (SMS)

If you provide your phone number and check the text-message consent box on our quote form, North Pole Lighting Co. may send you text messages about your quote request, scheduling, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at contact@northpolelightingco.com or (503) 908-4853. Text message consent is not a condition of purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Email

If you give us your email address, we may email you about your quote, your project, and seasonal availability. When you submit a request on our website, we send an automatic confirmation email so you know it went through.

You can opt out of email at any time by replying to any message or writing to contact@northpolelightingco.com.

Who else sees your information

A small number of service providers help us operate: a customer relationship tool that keeps track of your quote, an email and text delivery service, and our website's hosting platform. These providers process your information only on our behalf, to do the jobs described above.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it — for example, in response to a subpoena or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses essential browser storage to keep the site working and secure (for example, remembering an admin login session). We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't run third-party ad networks on this site.

If we add analytics tools in the future, they will only be used to understand overall site traffic — never to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and project records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet tax, warranty, and licensing obligations (Oregon CCB #253926). If you ask us to delete your information and we're not required to keep it, we'll delete it.

How we protect it

Your information is stored with our hosting provider using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and only North Pole Lighting Co. staff can view it through a password-protected admin account.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and to limit what we keep.

Children's privacy

Our services are directed to homeowners, not children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to show you what we have on file, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@northpolelightingco.com or call (503) 908-4853 and we'll take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new date. The policy here was last updated September 29, 2026.
